EKO is an officially registered non-profit, democratically organized organization and adheres to the official code and policy of the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA
The aim of EKO is to stimulate and promote all aspects of budo karate of Sosai Masustatsu Oyama. To achieve this, EKO emphasizes on creating a safe, transparent and inspiring environment for people of all ages, backgrounds and physical abilities to practice (shin) kyokushin full contact karate.
EKO members are officially recognized national organizations, led by democratically elected board members. The EKO board is elected every four years by the General Assembly, consisting of all member states.
